BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

of

A. FAYE BOYKIN

Born in Brewton, AL., A. Faye was born to the parentage of the late Arthur Lee Dale, Sr. and Zenobia Woodson-Dale. She graduated Salutatorian of the Southern Normal Class of 1978, thereafter, attending the world-renowned Tuskegee University where she graduated in social work with honors in 1981. A. Faye's message is one that clearly crosses color barriers, gender biases, and denominational lines.

After spending almost 20 years in suburban Dallas, Texas, she deemed it necessary to return to her native Alabama to assist with the care taking of her debilitating Mother. A. Faye relentlessly proves it is not where you live, but what lives in you! Fleeing from a volatile marriage, she established herself as a feisty survivor. Her daily prayer entails thanking God for being a "Kept Woman!" Her real calling and success however, came as an inspirational writer and speaker; boosted into national prominence by appearances on such television magazine shows as: Insights with Carla Winfrey (first cousin to Oprah Winfrey), Positively Texas, Coffee Break in Baltimore with Frank Ski (now the #1 D. J. on Hot 103 in Atlanta, GA.), Good Day in Alabama - Montgomery, Alabama and Good Morning Alabama in Birmingham.

She has garnered her share of acclaim, being named: 2003 Sojourner Truth Award by the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women's Council, "Who's Who In The World 2001" by Marquis Publication, two times recipient Key to the City of Birmingham, Alabama, 1999 Proclamation to the City of Mesquite, Texas, 1983 Outstanding Young Women of America, 1981 Who's Who Among Colleges & Universities in America, and 1978 Who's Who Among American High School Students.

This quintessential woman is a consultant, a social worker, an inspirational speaker, a publisher, and a best-selling author of one book, with three others to her credit:

Been Through The Fire But Didn't Get Burned 100%

1999 Bestseller

Can We Possibly Meet in the Middle?

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

When one of the nation's awesome twosome sat down to write their first book together, what better subject could there be than relationship itself? When you talk to one of them, the other one all but completes the sentence. "We are firm believers that there is nothing richer than rich relationships. There are standards to greatness in relationships. Not only do we work on building relationships, we work on fostering lasting relationships."

Even though Eric is an attorney (by degree) and A. Faye a best-selling author by (profession) team up as often as possible to criss-cross the country speaking before thousands, they have never forgotten how to give back. When we are blessed, it is not to keep to ourselves. It is to bless another. Blessings are like love. It isn't a blessing until you give it away.

Their marriage is following a widely admired path of global outreach and generosity through such deeds as offering harbor to the Hurricane Katrina victims and regularly donating food to the less fortunate. As advocates for the importance of education, enhancement, and empowerment, they emphasize the critical significance of understanding and tolerance of one another.

In HSO/HBO - Help A Sister Out/Help A Brother Out! Can We Possibly Meet In The Middle? Eric and A. Faye's special brand of humor, wisdom, and just down home amazing humanity come together to create a joyous celebration by being part of a loving and fulfilling relationship; being part of a unified force. It is with encouragement and inspiration that male and female - black, white, and brown, elementary and elderly are enticed to lift one another up, not tear each other apart! Support is also offered to the genders, the races, and the denominations to put aside our differences, and focus on our commonalities. When we give a little, a lot will be gained. This is not about me. This is about we. We have everything we need except each other. "It takes team work to make the dream work" per America's Power networking Guru George Fraser. Together, if we can see the invisible, with God we can do the impossible! Can we meet in the middle to do the impossible?

HSO/HBO captures the essence of the Black experience, the White experience, the Asian American experience, and the Native American experience. Ultimately and undeniably it captures and invokes the human spirit. Freedom and fulfillment are also experienced as you delve into this 'can't-put-it-down must read.'

Indelibly associated and naturally connected with people, whom he charms with an ease envied by many, Eric understands people, whether they are two or ninety-two. Eric received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Wilberforce University, a Master's degree in public affairs from Kentucky State University, and graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Miles Law School. Eric is also a licensed real estate agent, and served as a special assistant to former Birmingham Mayor Richard Arrington.

Additionally, A. Faye is also a people-person. She earned her bachelor's degree with honors in social work from Tuskegee University, and has authored four books, including one best-seller! Nationally, A. Faye is active with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Tau Beta Sigma Band Sorority, The Birmingham Area Alumni Association, and Toastmasters International. Eric and A. Faye are the loving parents of two adult children. Currently they reside in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
